Cortisol Belly Fat in menopause
Postmenopausal abdominal fat is often driven by high cortisol (stress hormone) - not just calories. Chronic high cortisol from mid-life stress, poor sleep, and over-intense training promotes visceral abdominal fat storage. Strategies: stress management (ashwagandha, yoga), 7-8h sleep, resistance training (not excessive cardio).
